Autumn leaf and resin light sculpture with antique reclaimed pitch pine base

Carefully chosen, beautiful autumn leaves have been cast in clear resin along with very long life, warm white LED’s on fine copper wire.

The  warm lights illuminate the leaf structures and colours along with the fine copper wire that entwines them.

The cured resin light block has then been set into a wooden base, made out of reclaimed antique pitch pine roof timber.

Pitch pine is a densely figured wood with straight grain, beautifully decorative when carefully hand finished and oiled to give a soft luster.

Long life LED’s typically have a lifespan of 50000 hours. This would imply 11.4 years if operated for 12 hours a day, 22.8 years for 6 hours a day.
